I was thinking about buying a lexus set up for $300 and try it out on our trucks. I know its been beaten to death but is there anyone out there running a HID setup? Just looking for some results on the copnversion. Thanks

Get the ones I have from ebay. Meccatune 8300k.

I love 'em. :D Easy plug ins for the 9006 socket and everything. Plus 3 year warranty.

I have BMW HID's in factory Denali projector lights and they are great. I bought them off another forums member when he was selling his truck. He retrofitted stock BMW HID's into the factory housing and they use the good german ballasts. I also got the fogs which use Acura TL bulbs. The difference is amazing!

do you have any pictures of them or the light pattern directly in front of your truck( drivers eyey view) if so that would help me make my decision on the h.i.d.s thanks. how do they work in bad weather( fog, rain , snow)

I wouldn't think that the lights out of the Lexus would be that bad. I would just have to fit them into the factory housing. I have been driving my 02 Lexus IS300 now for almost two years and love the headlights. I was just wondering if anyone else had made some work in our trucks using the factory housing from our trucks, and what kind of results did you get. The Lexus ballast box is half the size of the bulky Euro one's.

Can I just take the hids out of an escalade and put them in mine???

I just dont think they are worth that much money. Maybe about $100 at the most

i looked at my buddy today and i think it just might work, when he is not home tommorw i am going to have some fun with it :jester::jester::jester:

I took the lens out of an escalde before and i didn't think it would be possible to switch it over. i think the denali would be a lot closer to being ablt to switch it straight over, but still not plug and play. I think i might just buy a retrofit 4300K kit and put it in my stock lens :dunno:
