pbohrs Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 I took my wife to a small strip mall yesterday to get some things before this supposedly huge snow storm here in the east. The parking lot was nearly deserted and there was a spot next to a handicapped space. Plenty of side room and no one around. I see this lady coming into the lot and she is looking around for a spot...remember besides me there are only maybe 3 other vehicles in the lot. She decides to BACK INTO THE SPACE BEHIND ME! and then I felt the bump and the truck rocked. I thought for sure she busted something 'cause my dual exhaust tips are back there. Turns out all she did was scrape the paint on the rear bumper...still $216. to get it repaired. I'm just glad it didn't break with the temperature as cold as it is. People without depth perception shouldn't back into spaces!!! Anyway I'm going the route of my son and his F350 and install the tongue and ball in the hitch, maybe that will take care of this next time someone tries it.
6.0ss Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 sorry to hear that happend.. the ball mount is a good deterant from that crap, it really puts a nice dent on the other car!!!! LOL
ChevySSandChevy8.1 Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Sounds like bad luck, but at least she's paying for it right?. The trailer ball always gives them a nice round dent.

erice Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 I keep my hitch in most of the time. it saved me twice in other trucks when I was hit at stop lights.
