New Squeak

On my driver side front, I can hear a squeak coming from there every time I go over a bump.

Either my ball joint popped and I need to grease it or something, or it is the bushings.

Anyone else have this problem?

I figure ball joint because there is quite a bit of grease around it and when most people put new spindles, they bust them with the seperator, but I don't know why a ball joint would squeak.

I have a very annoying driver's side squeak that has been there from day one.

I only have 2500 miles on it so when I take it in for the first servicing I will have them find it and fix it.

Happens over bumps, when you shut the driver's side door, etc. Here's how I will demonstrate the squeak to the technician: When I place my hand high on the seam where the (closed) driver's side doors meet, and give it a solid push, the squeak happens.

Let me know if you get this resolved before I do.

Thanks!

I had that same issue on the driver's side third door. Turns out I had to "slam" it a certain way or close it with two hands (one high and one low) on the third door sill.

It has since gone away, but I haven't really changed the way I close the third door.

The shop guy told me that it was all in how you shut the third door and most often it was caused by not having it latched on both the top and bottom.

Now at 8000 miles I have a squeak on the right side.

I don't know if it will ever end.

I had the same situation it sounded like a damn bird was in my truck so I inspected the latches/striker assemblies and found where it was rubbing all it needed was a little adjustment in the opposite dirrection of the rub mark which happened to be on the underside of the striker on the rear door

My squeek from the top latch was fixed with one squirt of WD 40. Hasn't returned in months. As posted before here, it sounded something like a styrofoam cooler

squeal . I heard it mostly when the truck flexed.

Had the same problem, when ever the truck moved it squeaked, it drove me nuts :banghead: it was like that from day one. The dealer found the problem, was the passenger front shock, had to order a new one, stated it was "special" shock, well replaced it and the squeak was gone, :D

I had the worn shock bushing noise at 50 miles coupled with a cross-threaded oil pressure switch. They replaced the right side. A few days later the left side started making noise. The truck went down hill after that. Never purchase a truck at night when its raining. :nonod:
