SSplaytoy Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 I punched the gas the other day and heard a sqeal from my tranny. Now when I step on the gas, the truck will hardly move like it should with the radix. In high rpms I barely pick up spped like normal. What can be the problem? Help Please!
BenKey Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 I would say it sounds like belt slip, also. If you have lowered your pulley size, you'll more than likely need to go down in belt size. Also, a larger idler pulley will help with that.
zippy Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 you're running the boost gauge now if i recall correctly. has your boost level changed or does it feel as if the trans is slipping?
SSplaytoy Posted January 25, 2005 Author Report Posted January 25, 2005 I did go down in belt size now. But my tranny seems to be shifting weird. The boost is still at a little past 8. Before, the stock belt jumped ribs even when adjusting the tensioner, so I got a smaller belt. I am trying to take it real easy because I don't want to mess up my tranny. First it was not wanting to shift out of first now this.
SSplaytoy Posted January 26, 2005 Author Report Posted January 26, 2005 Driving right now and it felt like the truck jumped into reverse and jolted to the back, then forward and shut off. FOR NO REASON!! I was just in drive and the SS did this. Why? Now I am really concerned.
