IBCNYA Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 Hey folks. I just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone and see if you folks could help a fellow SS owner out. I recently was involved in a tiny fender bender. Not my fault. The guy slighty tapped my passenger side mirror. The mirror is ok and no scratches and the motor works fine and the signal light. What happend is when his truck tapped my mirror the ring that holds the mirros in popped out and was lost. I need this insert ring. If you look at your truck's passenger side mirror you sill see this ring that holds the mirror in place. I called the dealership today. They dont sell this piece. They only sell the mirror. They wanted 375$. Wow !! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all... TJ
BenKey Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 The SS mirrors are heated and have the signal in them - thus the costs I would assume. I would think the part you are trying to get is the same for all mirrors. Not sure of this, but sounds that way. Try going to ebay and buying just a regualr mirror.
