STOCK1SC
Have been waiting for the rear wheel drive only SS option to be available for a long time and thought I read on here that it was coming out and available for order now but don't see anything on the chevy website. Anyone have any news? I can get supplier pricing from my job and was looking to unload the titan because of all the squeeks and rattles plus some other irritations I have with it. Thanks! hot rod truck
You're looking for the VHO. They're available depending on where you live. Titan with rattles must be the UAW workers sabotaging the Japanese/American alliance

jsk
Supposed to be only in 2WD EXT CAB option. Looks like GM just keeps leading the 2WD REG CAB SS fans out in the cold again! Great "bait an switch" but I am not bitting! Sorry GM!

mbspeed
why not awd reg cab the power the 6.0 puts out will just melt the back tires and then the rain awd is the only way to go
2drTahoe
If that new Ford Lightning was going to come out, I was going to seriously consider it. I've been waiting too long for a Reg Cab with an engine bigger than a 5.3L. The last burn was that the SSR got the 6.0L and 6spd and the regular cab still gets squat. Here's the last teaser for a 6.0L, maybe I should add it to my sig http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/autoshows/...dway/page1.html

vtodd82
i completely agree with you. what the hell where those guys thinking when they wrote this in their pickup.com article "Chevrolet showed off a Silverado Speedway Edition at the 2004 SEMA Show that draws inspiration from a variety of sources, including the Silverado SS, but takes the performance theme to a level that could compete head-to-head with Ford Lightning and the Dodge Ram SRT-10, at least on an appearance level." at least on the appearance level. iam taking that as they think the SSS does not compete with the styling of the srt 10 and lighting. these guys have got to be smoking drugs. that concept silverado is ugly as sin, and the SSS is one damn fine looking truck. oh well

2drTahoe
Yeah I prefer the regular SS styling, but the exterior can be easily fixed, I just want the motor and tranny. Actually I prefer this styling over all of them
