SS--BLOWN
That other thread was hoplessly cluttered and doesn't deserve to continue. My question is: how would 22" wheels affect strip times? My understanding is that the overall tire dimensions are almost the same as stock 20" setup. What am I missing? How would rim size affect performance? Thanks. Michael
TexaSS
the dimensions might be pretty close to the same, but the weight of 22s compared to the stock 20s is probably quite a bit more
Dylan06SS
not true. Adam just upgraded to 22's on his truck and is saving 3lbs per wheel.
04CHASE
it all depends on the weight, you can get some forged 22's that weight like 22-30 lbs and they will save you some time but will cost you alot and possibly get bent but i wouldnt go for 22's if i was really worried about speed i would get some 18's meant for drag racing
Dylan06SS
If you're serious about racing you'll want something w/ a good sidewall too. Pickup a set of rims and tires for racing and a good set of 22's for 'bling' factor.
BenKey
Either way, get forged 22s. Much lighter.
