misterp
Also.... if your driving one of these trucks.... why would you be wearing scented hand lotion to begin with! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe the customers that you see just aren't very good at <ahem> cleaning off their hands afterwards... TBSS
Uhh, I don' t wear scented hand lotion....so that is not the issue. It seems that buttons would be a little cheaper than replacing the entire radio.
Wicked_SS
Mine was wearing off after 2 months...one dealer told me they'd replace it, another said its wear and tear and said no. i guess it just depends on the dealer mine is wearing off the station buttons, and the buttons on the steering wheel. it looks so crappy and cheap, i wonder if there's anything that could be used to cover it back up??? and oh yeah...they wont replace just the buttons...something about it all being connected and having to change the whole darn thing. vtodd82
the finish on my climate control unit wore out. the levers for the heat or cold wore out, and then the background where those levers move up and down on wore out. the dealer replaced the whole unit no questions asked in about a hour. FuelSlut
uhhh alls im saying is that its not un-common, and it has been proven that scented hand lotion is a leading cause of premature button wear (de-lamination), GMC uses Spemco parts aswell (radio head unit/reciever etc.) so i dont think youd be in any diff. of a boat/situation if you were sitting in a GMC

SSilverad03
I'm going to add this one to my list of things to get fixed when I finally get a chance to take mine in to the dealer . So far I have lost stations 1, 3, and 5. I have gone as far as changing my presets to slow the process down.
