tbyrne
This is something that you should know if your thinking about buying a Vortech supercharger - Vortech's Consumer Alert Get the most for your money - Buy Vortech from an Authorized Retailer and make sure you know what you are getting... Vortech Engineering products should be purchased from authorized Vortech retailers ONLY. You may not get what you think you are getting from non-authorized retailers. For example, most Vortech Supercharging Systems come with 3-year limited warranties, what you purchase from a non-authorized retailer may only have a 6-month warranty. Don't be fooled by low prices and "in-stock" promises. Some non-authorized retailers will purchase components then sell to you as a whole system. Superchargers purchased this way will not have a 3-year warranty! Scenario A: End-user gets Vortech System. He then realizes that there is no warranty paperwork. He then calls Vortech and our service department looks up his serial number and informs him that this is not a complete system and he only gets a one-year warranty. As you can imagine, this customer is not happy. Scenario B: End-user gets Vortech System. The box does not have an air intake assembly. He then calls Vortech and our service department looks up his serial number and informs him that this supercharger was purchased separate and not in a complete system. Not a happy customer. He then calls back the retailer and then is offered a Power Pipe at a great price. The unhappy customer is now furious. tbyrne
Vortech is supporting their dealers. That's where this comes from. It's the non-authorized companys that are selling their kits that you need to watch out for. I don't think the trans slipping issue is Vortech's fault. This can happen when you add alot of horsepower to a vehicle. route66init: The oldest e-mail that we have is probably from this afternoon. Can you resend that? Please make the subject "Attn: Tom". The other one might have been picked up by our spam software of it was replied to and you didn't receive it for some reason.
