Posted May 19, 2009 Report Share Posted May 19, 2009 ANY time that a PCM is swapped in that hasn't been in your specific vehicle, a CASE learn procedure is needed for the PCM to be able to accurately detect misfires. If the check engine light doesn't come on for it, then the tolerance is within an allowable range, however you may experience random misfire codes as well as less than optimal torque converter operation.
