mjdxtreme
Would anyone recommened a ram air hood other than for looks. I am looking to install a ram air hood but I am wondering if anyone has one and what they recommend and if they give any performance gains. BOB47
There a several people on here with the Keystone ram air hood. Personally, I bought mine mostly for looks. Don't know if there's any actual performance gains. The truck seemed to pull a little better after it was installed but that's a "seat of the pants" thing. No actual dyno testing done on mine. Mileage around town went up about 1-1/2 mpg. Freeway mileage actually dropped a bit. Drag? Hope this helps.
shadowsniper3006
how is the hood in bad weather? Does it inhale a lot of rain/snow? Thanks Brad

Thanks Brad <{POST_SNAPBACK}> there are built it grooves or gutters i guess you could call them, that will route any liquid safely out the sides under the hood so that it wont come into contact with your air filter.
