BenKey
will a standard silverado rear slider window fit into the ss's rear opening?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm sure it would, but may be at the expense of your rear window defogger. IdriveGTP
Same window.....but like benkey said, you will have to disconnect the defroster wiring!
fox_forma
None of the sliders have a defroster?? I thought some did but I dont know
bgdsub72
None of the sliders have a defroster?? I thought some did but I dont know <{POST_SNAPBACK}> nope, none of the rear sliders have de-frosters. It would be pretty hard to make a 3 piece window with a built in defroster on all 3 pieces. IdriveGTP
Yup, you have to choose one or the other....in this case you CAN'T have your cake and eat it too!
ssjonathan
I have always thought it would be awesome to have a one piece rear window that automatically rolled down with a switch up front???? Maybe I am going insane, but has anyone seen this??
Big O
I have always thought it would be awesome to have a one piece rear window that automatically rolled down with a switch up front???? Maybe I am going insane, but has anyone seen this?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah they have been doing that for decades ... no big thing really ... I used to have a silverado that did that and I think one of the guys in FLA priced it out recently.
IdriveGTP
Someone had posted about that before...I will look for the old link. To my knowledge noone has done it, but I did post some info about a power sliding backglass (where the center piece slides over via a dash mounted switch). I have installed a few of them here at my glass shop....they are pretty cool (I would never cut out a piece of factory glass in my truck to put one in, but if anything ever happens to it, I know what I will replace it with...heck, I have never used the defroster in any of my vehicles). ssjonathan
How much do these run installed??
IdriveGTP
I'll have to do some checking....probably in the 300-350 range plus installation (labor) and materials (urethane, primer).
ssjonathan
Thats really not bad. Any places in Ga? That would be a nice addition. I have never used the rear defroster.

Maybe I am going insane, but has anyone seen this?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The new Toyota Tundras have the rear window that slides down. It is really cool. Too bad it is the only thing cool about them.
