RacerJJ
My previous best with stock wheels and tires was 14.51 @ 91.25 mph. Today I made a pass with my new wheels and tires at California Dragway in cool/fair weather, maybe 72* and it ran 14.552 @ 90.54 mph...Okay, not so bad with the new 22's. Here is the big shocker...I let my brother take a pass at about 10:45 p.m. in colder weather (about 55*) and he was able to get her down to 14.451 @ 92.58 mph! That is her fastest pass EVER!!!!!!! I guess the bigger wheels only improved things. Can't wait until GMpartsdirect.com gets their A** in gear and sends my fans...should go 14.20's...ON 22'S!!!!!!!! I'm impressed! RacerJJ
tnice times , what mods do you have? When do you get bring a buddy to the track day?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Any time you want to come out, let me know. There is a track rental thing that a local guy does (I'll post his website later) at the track...$100 and he provides dinner. Track is open from 3pm-11pm and he only allows 80 cars. Had one this past Friday and some people got 50+ runs!!! I hear that the next one will be April 8th and the next Street Legal is April 9th. I can arrange a rental for us there if we can get enough people together. I think rental for 8 hours is $5000 so if we could get 50 people that's $100 bucks each for unlimited runs. Check out my garage for my mods. Edited March 27, 2005 by racerbubba (see edit history)
Dylan06SS
Good times. Does it bother you at all that someone else set your trucks best time and not you?

BenKey
If the 22" wheels are forged, chances are they are lighter than your stock wheels. Did you happen to weigh them?
RacerJJ
If the 22" wheels are forged, chances are they are lighter than your stock wheels. Did you happen to weigh them? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I haven't weighed them with the tires but A.R.E. told me that the wheels alone weigh 42 lbs. I beleive that's 6 lbs. lighter than stock. I do know that the overall diameter is shorter than stock due to the 40 series tires and it is now lowered which would help with the wind resistance a bit. Only other changes are fresh diff. fluid (both) and fresh oil.
