ssjonathan
A friend of mine has a black truck. He was at a friends house the other day and he was painting a bumper for his truck and got some overspray on his paint. The wind was blowing more than he thought. At least the truck is the same color. If you look at the right angle you can see it but it is more noticable when you rub over it. It is rough in those spots. Can you get the overspray off? What is the best product? The bad thing is that his paint is in very good shape.

OKLAGMCRUISER
claybars are designed for removing contaminants and overspray...you can get most claybar kits at your local detail supply shop, o'reillys, napa, autozone..etc. at $10-20 per kit. cwest94
The road people painted street lines one day last summer and my car got covered in yellow paint. I was able to get all the yellow paint off of my black paint by using a clay bar, but it would not work on the plastic fenders. Does anyone know of something to use to get paint off of plastic?? superman
maybe a pressure washer on the right setting. I got some light over spray off once like that. That could be alittle dangerous though.

BenKey
McGuire's Scratch-x works pretty good. WD-40 may work on the plastic.
quickmedic1
For road paint I have used Fast Enamel reducer or Laquer thinner without harming the paint. One of the paint techs I worked with told me about this and I thought he was nuts but it worked. GM has used Urethane paints since the 90s and it is not harmed by thinner or reducer in the short term. By that I mean don't soak a rag in laquer thinner and lay it on the paint and leave it there for hours. I usually get the enamel reducer first, dampen a rag and clean the area needed. If this does not soften the road paint switch to the laquer thinner. Wash after your finished and rewax. I have used this method for a long time with no harm to any of my cars. One important thing to remember....Do Not Use This Method on Laquer or Enamel Paint. Only on Urethane Paint. As always you can test on a small area under the fender or in a wheel well but it will work. The longer the road paint is on however, the harder it will be to remove. Good Luck
Firestorm
you might want to try something liek acrysol.or base coat reducer.thinner is a lil too harsh IMHO.. something that wont melt the plastic flares. clay bar will shave off the highspots of the clearcoat paint, so be prepared to polish a bit.... OKLAGMCRUISER
or zaino, when you buy some wax. Don't pay that much for zaino's clay bar...it's the EXACT same bar as in the clay magic and mothers kit...although the z6 is a nice qd.

You can get it at most any autoparts stores. ;)
