Anyone have a bug deflector on their SS

After driving out to my college and back to visit it seems like our windshield on our SS's love collecting every single bug or critter that gets in its way. It got so bad that when the sunlight would hit at the right spot it actually made it hard to see out the windshield because there was so much glare coming off the bug guts that it was very distracting. It always seems to be the bugs that splat on there that the wiper fluid cant remove. Does anyone have a deflector on their truck? I thought it might not be a bad idea as long as i could find a low-profile one so it doesnt take away the normal lines of the hood really. Just seeing if anyone has one and if it works well and got any pics??

Thanx

There are a few around me that have them on. I have been thinking about adding one as well. The only problem I see is the side effects. Chevy has a problem with the seals around the windshield when you add a deflector ... they will just add some silicon or 3m tape to hold the weather stripping down. Also it seems like you get more rock chips when you add a deflector ... but that might just be my line of thinking. Anyways they look good on the trucks if that is what you were asking.

Big O.

I have the same one as mwarren, only it's black. Yes, they do help kep the bugs off, and yes, they will make your windshield trim make noise (I got mine replaced under warranty though). When they are painted-to-match like mwarren's, or black-on-black like mine, they don't look bad on our trucks, in my opinion. (the pic could have been better; it was really sunny that day, but you get the idea).

The bug deflector changes the aerodynamics off the front and the wind stream works under the weather striping on your windshield making a flapping noise. It can be addressed under warranty and your local dealer if you don't want to mess with it.

I can get you one if you need one. PM me. The noise they are reffering to is the trim around the window vibrates and makes a chattering niose while driving. Nothing some black silicone adhesive caulk wont fix. I have one its clear and they take only a couple minutes to install. They are made better than the lund ones I had problems while selling lund shields so I switched brands.

I put one of those bugdeflector II things on and it did the same thing, when i hit about 70 it sounded like there were a bunch of marbles jumping around around my glove box, so i assumed it was the deflector, took it back and exchanged it, but i havent put the new one on yet........still debating if i really want it now.
