Dylan06SS
My drivers side seatbelt has started to make a loud squeaking/squealing noise when its being pulled out or retracted... I'm assuming that its the rotating part thats inside the seat next to the headrest, but I'm just curious if this would be something easy to fix on my own or if I should just take it into the dealer To be honest I don't even know how to get to the part? Is it snapped into place or what? How would you remove the assembly?

Jonmalibuss
Hmm sounds familiar Dylan my dads truck has this same problem it's very annoying. His started to do it after he got it back from having it repainted maybe when they put it in the paint booth the heat affected the lubricant and allowed it to lose it's lubricant. Just a thought since you did have your rollpan painted on the truck.

Dylan06SS
I fixed it last weekend. The cover is a b!tch to get off, but I just shot a little wd40 on it (being careful not to get any on the seatbelt itself) and haven't heard a noise since. Ca. C3
Don't use WD40 it will run and stain your seat belt, my C3 belts squeak as well. Pull the belt cover off, be careful not to break the tits and use a food grade white grease, it will wash out of the seat belt if you get any on them. Worked for me no more squeaks.
