venator
Has anyone installed a lift kit on the SS? Are lift kits available?

FalconPilot
I'm not being smart, but why would you want to lift an SS? Is it just looks, or is there a practial reason?
BenKey
A practical reason for raising or lowering? Wow, that's a new one.
lrymal
Oh no---no. Not on an SS. Please don't lift it! That's one of the reasons it handles like a sports car.

GnatGoSplat
You should be able to use a lift kit for any 99+ 4x4 truck. The suspension is essentially the same. Your offroad capability is limited due to lack of a low range though.

SSilverado60
Any lift from a 99+ 4x4 will work. The Suspension is exactly the same. but you will be limited because of the type of transfer case these trucks have. i think a lifted SS will be gay as hell though GM has been using torsion bars on 4wds since 88. Benkey if you had a 99 4wd you had torsion bars. They are starting to use them on 2wds as well now. all 2000+ 2wd HD trucks have torsion bars up front now as well. They also put them on All avalanches, suburbans, and tahoes as well
