Lee
Remember when Fred used to clutch his chest with his right hand, put his left arm in the air and yell that, he was having the BIG one?" Well, that was a picture of me this afternoon when I filled up "the beast"....................$51.85!!! Oh, Lord. That's a first. A $50 DOLLAR plus fill up on a regular vehicle (not a U-Haul type rental truck). Damn. This is gonna take the fun out of getting on the accelerator a little. Gas here in the Valley was around $2.19 for 91 octane when I got the SS three months ago. Then it quickly fell to about $1.79. Now, almost overnight it's over $2 again. It's going to be a loooong hot summer in the S.W.

PotbellyJoe
There was a Gas Station that just oppened 8 miles from my house that on last saturday had opening special with premium at $1.39... Premium has been around 1.49-1.59 for a few weeks... I asked them to fill both tanks and the bed..... The guy didn't speak english well and got really confused, but he filled the tanks and took my CC... That was a good day... -Joe

Some times you have to pay for the perks. Rain is sched for Sat-Thurs in the forecast. So much for keeping the truck looking good.
luvmySS
Remember when Fred used to clutch his chest with his right hand, put his left arm in the air and yell that, he was having the BIG one?" I think they are still showing it on TVLand Don't feel too bad Lee it was $1.89 last time I filled up out here in CA and I'm pretty sure it will be up to over $2 before long. They think that just because it is summertime they can gouge us even more than they normally do

It's going to be a loooong hot summer in the S.W. And I thought a $40 fill up was bad! The station attendant asked me "what's under the hood?" when I paid for that one. I started to reply "A burning hole in my back pocket." At $50 they start looking for the boat you're filling up. Elizabeth, this is the Big One! If I ever do hit $50, I may have to get this: http://www.80stees.com/products/Sanford_Th...The_big_one.asp

rmcswain
Premium around here is 1.47, don't know if I could stand a $50.00 fillup ........................but with the SS, I guess it is smiles per gallons that counts anyway
Lee
Our 91 octane just dropped to $1.89 again. This thing is literally changing by the week around here. Unbelievable! Although still high compared to some of you other guys at least IT'S NOT $2.19 ANYMORE. God, I can't take too many $50 plus fill-ups. [he said as if $1.89 is that much better] But at least it's $48.95 and not $50 something. I got so I was filling up around 1/2 tank just to avoid the physiological hit of $50!!!!!! I know, I know, stupid but it works for me.
