MN C5
Yes it spins the tires! The truck shifts into 2nd gear @ about the 40ft or just a couple truck lenghts Its fun to drive on the highway it pulls hard without downshifting. Well I'm going out to drive around in it and tune on it a bit more. I'm very happy with it though. While some felt the Radix was to small for the motor, I can say it works well and IMHO I didn't want to build a time bomb. The block is good for 800hp and it didn't make sense to me to go further for now anyway. It's a blast to drive And its a bunch faster than my Lightning now!! BenKey
Well, I guess it was only matter of time before someone beat the current standing time. Sorry, Dave I think it's a foregone conclusion. Now if we can only get a video shot of that thing spinning those tires.

whmayhew
You too can put on a smokeshow with your SS. Friday night I hooked onto a F250 with a V10 bumper to bumper with a chain. I told him to leave it in high range to make it fair. When we started pulling I pulled him ahead about a foot, then I held him for about ten seconds. I don't know whether he shifted into low range on me but all of a sudden I was going backwards. The drivers side back tire chewed into the hot top about a quarter of an inch. Both back tires were smoking hard. The front tires did not seem to spin. When we were done with that pull I talked him into going into 2 wheel drive and I pulled him easily. The V10's have alot more torque than the 6.0. In Maine the local fairs have a drag sled that the trucks pull. It is weighted and the farther you pull it the weight keeps moving ahead making it harder to pull. This particular truck is hard to beat. In the half ton stock classes the 5.3 Chevrolet can not be beat. I don't think the SS would stand a chance as you need the low range.
BenKey
You got bigger than I do. I would have been afraid to have left my bumper laying on the road.
