jdub396
Anyone tried this…SS seats (or any silv. leather seats) , and center console in a regular cab????
boeman
it's been done! the bench from an ext cab and the bench in a reg cab are the same. The only difficult thing will be the wiring for the power seats!
jdub396
Most all the wires, and motor are under/with the seat, correct?? When you say "bench", you are talking about the bucket seats?
2drTahoe
I'd wander into a junkyard. I'd bet there's a jumper wire with connectors on either end. There's probably a connector ready to go under the dash and one on the new seats. Let us know how it works out, I've been curious about this too. bgdsub72
There is a guy on the GM-trucks forum with a 04 2500 reg cab long bed that did a charcoal grey leather seat with console conversion his user ID is BBSilverado
jdub396
Thanks for the reference! To do it "right" it might take some work. As far a bolting the seats/console up...not a problem. Need a lower dash panel. The electrical part (heat, memory) might be a mess. Oh well, what else do I have to do!?!
fordsareslow
Iv'e been wanting to do this to my truck, would be a little work, but nothing that couldn't be done in a day. The big issue is cost. Trying to find some good seats and a console for a good price is tough.

I see charcoal leather seats go all day for $400-600 and a console would run you about $100-200 complete.
