muscleshop
Mervz, Saw that you posted on another board that we should "Look for NA improvements and refinements" for the Silverado SS. What do you know that we dont, and why wouldnt you post that here first?
Admin Mervz Posted July 10, 2003 Admin Report Share Posted July 10, 2003 Because its not offical yet. I only posted that on Cheers and Gears to stop the Supercharged rumor.
dcairns
Hmmm... Mervz squashing the Supercharger rumor, sounds like GM has told him it is not true, but cannot come right out and say it ;) . Yet that silly "model Line up" chart is still on GM's media site. Large corporations can be hilarious sometimes ! (I work for IBM, so I know ). rmcswain
Can that mean more HP in '04 for the SS, but no supercharger?????????
TJ Mack
I'm not sure you can call something on GM's web site a rumor. Also, what is the point of stopping or squashing a rumor??? With all do respect Mervz, you closed a thread on this topic, make a post on another site to "squash" the rumor...I'm confused. Peolpe have the right to discuss what they wish...I believe that's covered by the 1st amendment to the constitution. I'm not being a hardass, but I've been wondering about this since you closed the other thread on this topic. So what if it's a rumor, and quite frankly since it's info from GM's web site we're talking about, why shouldn't it be discussed if people choose to talk about it? Well, you can all talk about it, but i know for a fact its wrong. So why dwell on it? Last thing i want is for someone to say.. "Well, i heard it on SilveradoSS.com, but it turned out to be not true. That site sucks!"
TJ Mack
Mervz - what everyone is saying is they saw it at the GM media site...not silveradoss.com. Again, a rumor is nothing more than a story...a tall tale. This is in black and white for all to see...on GM's media site. Perhaps the only typo or misprint is the "345 horsepower". At any rate, I do know that auto and truck manufacturers often get cagy about new products and enhancements to existing products and few outside the product planning group's of these companies "know for a fact" what will, and what will not be offered. Let the members talk about what they choose provided it's not offensive, aggresive or profane.

I will report back with what i'm allowed to.
