bad ss
For those who didnt read my post about lowering my SS, I gave my truck to Ground Force last wednesday and they are gonna develop a lowering kit for the SS. Well they called me today and said that they lowered it 2" in the front and 2" in the back. the front was lowered by making new torsion keys and the back with new shackles. they also installed new shocks the whole way around. they said they had to install new bump stops. the next step is to actually lower the whole suspension to check for clearance on the underneath. they dont think it will be a problem. they hope to have it done next week so hopefully i can take some pictures when i get it back. 2drTahoe
Sounds good. Glad to hear they used Torsion Keys instead of just turning the screws. Is the truck level enough at stock height to drop 2/2? Or are the leaving the rear up a little higher even with the drop?
bad ss
The 2" drop in the back is the first drop they are trying. once the have the truck back on the ground they are gonna check the ride height. if they have to they are gonna lower it more cause i asked them to get it level the best they can. i told them that after the SS is done I would make a recomendation to this board about the kit. Does anyone think they would be interested in their lowering kit if i do recomend it. Me and ground force are curious.
blackhawk
I would probably be interested, would the price be competitive with say, Belltech?
bad ss
They havent said anything about a price to me. They are doing my truck for free cause they needed an SS to develop a kit. I guess I called them at the right time. i will ask them about a price for the kit next time i call them.
BenKey
Depends on your impressions, ride quality mainly, price, and workmanship of the pieces used. Would also look at the pics I hope you would post.
