gilbo
guys that have the SS already might keep an eye on this, but i was at the dealership, getting some work done, so i ventured over to the SS's setting on d lot (12 i believe). anyways, i notice some of the cladding coming off on all of them.all in the same area. the piece i am referring to is the piece on the rear doors, as it wraps around btween the cab and truck bed. so just a heads up for u folks
Dale
Thanks for the heads up. I checked mine and seems to be fine! (For now at least!)
cre8vtung
I was washing mine last night and noticed the rear door drivers side panel was loose. Started going around the truck and found three more loose bolts/screws. The screw on the bottom of the rear door was just starting to mark the rocker panel. Working in quality for GM I would suggest everybody take a quick check. All loose screws/bolts were loose enough to turn with my fingers. I guess even the some of the SS's were made on Friday afternoons.

SS4EVER
Working in quality for GM I would suggest everybody take a quick check. All loose screws/bolts were loose enough to turn with my fingers. I guess even the some of the SS's were made on Friday afternoons. But GM doesn't install the cladding on the SS's, that is done down the road by their second stage supplier TecStar. What GM should be doing is looking into why there is such a common problem with the cladding comming loose and getting on the horn and resolving that problem. So whether your truck was assembled at GM on a friday or any other day for that matter is irrelivant in this case, what is more relivant would be a friday afternoon at TecStar.. Anyways, I'm not much of a fan for cladding. I see the SS's parked without the cladding waiting to go over to TecStar to get finished and they look great without cladding but I take it the cladding gives it more width on the bottom to match the bumpers while protecting the paint so if it holds then .
