usmcchevyss
I tried doing a search but came up empty....i was wondering for all of you that have installed airbags..what kind/part number did you use? Do you have any pics of the install? What have you found to work best on the SSS? thanks for the advice in advance. I am just looking to help when I am towing my trailer, I am not looking to add a drop kit thanks Bryan Edited September 26, 2005 by usmcchevyss (see edit history)
Dylan06SS
do you have 2wd or AWD? Thats gonna be the main determining factor on how/if you'll bag your truck. If you are looking for some good advice on bag setups join up over on Show Truck Scene and post the question in the forms. Alot of the members there have done extensive bag work on their trucks and can point you in the right direction. fox_forma
are you talkin about bagging the whole truck or just bags in the rear for towing? There are a few people who put bags in the back to help tow.
usmcchevyss
yeah I am just looking to add bags to the rear for towing. I am not looking to do the whole truck. Alex, a member on the site, just installed the McGaughy's air assist setup and posted it... search and you'll find it. usmcchevyss
I did find his post about his set-up. I was just wondering if anyone else had used any other kind of air bags.
SSplaytoy
He had the McGaughy's helper bag kit though. That is all you would really need. Dylan, you idea thief!!!! Thats what I wanted to do.
Wizard
I did the Sportrite kit by Goodyear, with the Mcg. kit. Really like it. But I plan on doing the compressor, it would really be nice, instead of filling it up wheneve I need to use them. Wiz
usmcchevyss
well I ended up going with the airride part #59501. Did not take to long to install. Just got them done in under 2 hours. they look pretty good, I will be towing my trailer on thursday so I will see how they work. I think I should have gotten the compressor too, but I am going to have to wait. I am spending the money fast then I can make it.
