SS--BLOWN
I keep reading about how several hundred dealer lots in Louisiana were damaged by the hurricane; the VINs for these flood-damaged vehicles are being killed to prevent fraudulent re-selling of damaged goods. Any thoughts on getting my hands on a donor C6 or CTS-V? I have a 1960 Chevy that I want to bring up to 2005 mechanical standards with a good donor car. Any ideas or suggestions would be great! Thanks.
CoolBlueSS
I've heard from people on other sites that have classic car that were in the flood waters are being destroyed. Mainly because of biohazard. All that nasty soup soaking into the carpet, upholstery, and just covering everything. Don't know for sure.
fox_forma
i heard something about that also, its just not safe to have these vehicles around cause of all the crap. I'm sure a few will slip by though
CoolBlueSS
What kills me to hear about are the cars being crushed are like, 70s T/As, GTOs, all the old muscle cars. It would just make me sick to have to destroy something like that.
CrAzYMoPaRGuY
The majority of suspension mechanicals would have no real damage though? I think it's a waste to toss a whole new Corvette, or any car for that matter...? I would grab a pressure washer and risk the sickness!
AmesSS
I thought the New Orleans PD stole all the Caddy's? Wouldn't the V's be the first to go?

UBDSLO1
You can be sure that some shady people will be bringing the water-damage cars and trucks up north. The longer the cars sit, the worse they get, as salt water does wonders on metal and steel. Plus, as other posters have said, the nasty "soup" that will be left in a lot of the cars, no thanks, that's just asking to pick up some God forsaken sickness. PewterC3
looks like to me with the recent floods up north...there are going to be enough water damaged cars up there already.
