foxySS
Do I need a new fuel pump if I upgrade to 44lb injectors? I have a whipple/Magnaflow/CAI/ and pcmforless coming soon. Any info would be great! Edited January 22, 2006 by foxySS (see edit history)

BenKey
All SSs have the LQ9. Yes, you should plan on putting a higher volume pump in. Not just because of the 44lb injectors, but for the s-chgr.

It said (PCMforLess ordering page) do not alter or change factory fuel pump. It would make sense to change it but I wonder if I could get away without it? It's weird too- You would think that a GM dealership installing the SC (to keep the factory warranty) would have done that too.

As for up grading the fuel pump you will need to at least put a inline pump on. You will be starving the engine with a stock pump.
Justin Lamanna
PCMforless does it's tuning based on the stock fuel pump or if its a radix application based on the added intank pump. Like BenKey said, add one and let Brain know which it is and the lbs it's putting out. Make sure to get one the does 55lbs+.
zippy
if you're running an 03' i recomend the inline helper pump.
SS_bnoon_SS
if you're running an 03' i recomend the inline helper pump. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ditto. The '03 has a return fuel system and it doesn't really matter how many pumps you have on this system so long as it can keep up with the injectors at WOT. mwalls54
I would check on one like they sell with the Radix.

foxySS
Is it the Walbro 255? Seems to be the popular choice on LS based vehicles. Anyone know the part # I need? PladdPezzPunk
i would also consider aeromotive. I've had real good luck with these pumps. they are a little pricy but worth the cash IMO.
