Texas speed is a good place, talk to Jason when you call and he usually does people right. now for the magic stick 4. that might be a little big for a stock 6.0. i would call them and tell them what you have and let them decide what would be best for you.

Did you find anything out??

Yep talk to them today. They said the same thing lil too big for a Stock SS. With the weight of the truck and that cam setup would take to much power to move it off the line accoding to them. The 82 Hp gain they show was on the stock engine that was out of a f-body a lot lighter car. He said he would recommend it to anyone in the f-body community. Well It look like im seaching for something new. THANKS for all of your guys input Jac

The biggest problem isnt the weight of the vehicle but the intake manifold. The truck manifolds start to run out of gas above 6000 rpms. The MS4 is probably going to be a big lift and big duration cam so its going to make its power higher up in the RPM range. You would need to switch over to LS6 or FAST manifold to see the gains that that cam is inteaded for.

The weight of the truck is the problem. Larger duration cams will cause a loss of low end torque in most cases and that is what it takes to get it moving. The less it weighs, the less it takes to get it rolling.

Although switching to a better flowing intake that doesn't fall off like the truck intake may allow you to take full benefit of the larger cam, it is not "required". You'll still see a big gain. That would assume also that you plan to spin your truck into the cam's sweet spot. Higher flowing heads will allow you to gain more benefit from a cam, as well as exhaust, etc...but to realize gain they are not "needed".

A good stall will help with the larger cams also.
