No 6.2 on the 2007?

Recommended Posts

I was looking on the chevy silverado page and they have a new thing on there about the 2007, they don't mention a 6.2 liter only a 6.0 and 5.3. they did give the 6.0 367hp, and the 5.3 is alittle higher too, but no where near that 404hp of that 6.2

I believe that the 6.2L is only available in the GMC Sierra Denali...

I'm asssuming if they make a new silverado ss it would for sure have the 6.2 liter! I'm almost sure thats what they will do!

When GM released their models there was no talk of an SS version. They may not make them any more according to a couple guys on here that work for the general.

The only truck we will see with the 6.2 L is the Denali as of now

Great info to know. I wonder, would there be any gas mileage gains to having a six speed trans instead of the 4 speed? Think about a six speed in the Vette. Tons of power, and yet it can still get high 20's on the highway for gas mileage because it's just loping along. Granted, our trucks are very heavy and wouldn't get as good, but I figure a 6 speed would be able to lope the engine along at highway speeds as well and deliver some impressive MPG (for a truck)..

Just checked on GM launch and there is no 6.2L listed as someone else listed specs above. As I posted before, there is no SS listed on there. They are making a Z-60 sport edition with 20" wheels as well as the LTZ. I also read that there will be a "Texas Edition"
