Sneakystiffler21
I was looking on the chevy silverado page and they have a new thing on there about the 2007, they don't mention a 6.2 liter only a 6.0 and 5.3. they did give the 6.0 367hp, and the 5.3 is alittle higher too, but no where near that 404hp of that 6.2 2007 Silverado FYI Stephen

They may not make them any more according to a couple guys on here that work for the general. The only truck we will see with the 6.2 L is the Denali as of now

I wonder, would there be any gas mileage gains to having a six speed trans instead of the 4 speed? Think about a six speed in the Vette. Tons of power, and yet it can still get high 20's on the highway for gas mileage because it's just loping along. Granted, our trucks are very heavy and wouldn't get as good, but I figure a 6 speed would be able to lope the engine along at highway speeds as well and deliver some impressive MPG (for a truck).. KissMySilvSS
Just checked on GM launch and there is no 6.2L listed as someone else listed specs above. As I posted before, there is no SS listed on there. They are making a Z-60 sport edition with 20" wheels as well as the LTZ. I also read that there will be a "Texas Edition" From GM Launch: Z-60 Z60 Sport Performance 20-in. wheels and tires Rear monotube shock absorbers Engines Vortec Engine Lineup and Features Please see the Silverado Order Guide for complete availability. 2007 Silverado Vortec Engine Lineup Engine RPO Active Fuel Management FlexFuel (E85) Variable Valve Timing Engine Block Material 2006 hp/torque 2007 hp/torque 4.3L V6 LU3 No No No Cast iron 195/260 195/2601 4.8L V8 LY2 No No No Cast iron 285/295 295/305 5.3L V8 LY5 Yes No No Cast iron 295/335 315/338 5.3L V8 LH6 Yes No No Cast aluminum 310/335 315/338 5.3L V8 LMG Yes Yes No Cast iron 295/335 315/338 5.3L V8 LC9 Yes Yes No Cast aluminum 295/335 315/338 6.0L V8 L76 Yes No Yes Cast aluminum 345/380 367/375 1 Preliminary estimate based on GM testing. Woffski
JB, I think your info is incorrect. I have a 2005 Silverado with a 8.1 gas engine.
