Hey All ... The wife and I need a break from the daily grind. We want to go on a vacation that is All-Inclusive. She has her heart set on a Sandals Vacation. The resorts seem nice. Just want to know if anyone has ever done a Sandals Vacation before? It seems to have more included, ie: Waterskiing and Scuba, than almost any other resort.

The only thing that is a minor turn-off, is that you need to dress up every night for dinner ... But an upside to the Royal Bahamian is that it has it's own private island. The upside to St. Lucia is that Sandals has three resorts on the island, and we can use all of the amenities at each of them

If you have a suggestion of where you stayed before, please let us know. Please also include a link if possible.

We have done Grand Caymen, Dom. Rep., Aruba, Mexico (Gulf side).

Sandals - St. Lucia

Sandals - Bahamas

Thanks in advance ...

Shuan

I stayed @ the Sandals resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica and had a blast. I love those all-inclusive Sandals resorts, you can actually leave your wallet behind.

And for the dinner dress-up, i think you are ok as long as you don't go in shorts.

Never been to any of the Sandals you are looking at but got to tell ya, the clear blue water in the Bahamas is amazing!!!!

Jamaica is awesome for all inclusive, either with Sandals or Couples in Ocho Rios.

Cancun is always nice. Here is where I went last month.

in Jamaica, when I stayed at Couples, I never had to leave the all inclusive resort. they have nightly entertainment, a few resteraunts, snorklinig, scuba diving, sunset cruises, massages, etc., etc. and there are no children and a clothing optional beach. The water is awesome there for snorkling and scuba.

Cancun is not my first pick for an all inclusive vacation location, but it is very nice.

Good to know ... Thanks...

Yeah, I've done Cancun and it was OK. That was back a few years in my single days, But we had a blast.

Well we decided on the Sandals Royal Bahamiam. This was mostley in part to travel times. St. Lucia had horendous flights, a few red-eyes along with 6-8 hr. lay-overs. Bahamas is only 2 planes, and about 5.5 hrs. of total travel time. We are going Oct. 5th - 12th. BTW - we booked the Manor Luxury Oceanfront Concierge Room. Should be nice.

I will let you all know how good it was. Thanks again for your input.

If your interested in the scuba diving I would ask if you have to be certified? Wife and I was in the Bahamas and that's what they told us. In Florida we didn't have to be certified or anything, just take some training class. Suba diving is a must. So much fun, just make sure your guide knows what they are doing. My guide put a weight belt on me and had me draging the ocean floor :banghead:
