r8rs4lf
Alex, Are you making sure to not touch the actual bulb part with your hands? I've heard touch the bulb with your hands will cause the bulb to have a shorter life...I've had a pair last over 2 years on my last silverado (2002)... i have problems with my daytime driving lights always burning out quickly...Seems like my passenger side always go out every 6 months. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ya, I never touch the actual bulb when I install it. I've had my amber DRL's probably as long as I've had the Silverstars and have yet to change those. Maybe it's just the bulbs I'm getting, but like I said, I'm done with those. I should be picking up my HID's tomorrow.

DanY
Is you truck lowered by chance? Silverstars seem to have a real problem with vibration. My wife's 2004 Grand Prix CompG was eating them every 4 months. The particular spring package on this model created a lot of headlight bounce. GM finally figured out how to add braces to better support the headlight housings. This solved the problem. The truck had one burn out after only a few months. Since then I've been on the same set for 2+ years. The one that burned out had the glass bulge on the side of the bulb. I'm wondering if the glass had something on it out of the package. I was very careful not to touch the bulbs when installing. Since then I always wipe the bulb down with acetone before installing them.
fordsareslow
My first set lasted 2 months and then one night they both just quit at the same time. Luckily I didn't have to pay for the replacements. So far so good, but then again it has only been a month.
brewz
going on two years now, make sure your not touching the bulb with your hands, the oil from your skin will get on the bulb and cause it to burn out.

Prestoar
just bought and installed the 9005 and 9006...kept the boxes in good shape for returning and also to house my stock bulbs. If I have problems I'll just return them to wal-mart for a new set

Codedog04
You got to be really carefull with those lights, i had the same issue when I foud out thaat if you get the less little bit of crap on them, they will burn out. The beam is great, but you have to be carefull putting them in.
