Y2K Silverado
I have a question for the guys that made their own Ram Air. Is there any concerns about water or moisture being sucked in? I have the Ram-Air mod on my Silverado (non-SS) and I haven't had a problem. I've checked the air box after driving in the rain and there are a few drops of water in bottom of the airbox but the filter looked and felt dry. I don't think the 4" duct I'm using to feed the air will act like a straw and suck up water even if the scoop went completely under water. The airbox still has the two stock air inlets to feed air to the engine, but that just my opinion. Jim
BenKey
I haven't even seen drops. That's still a ways for it to travel and then it has to get through an oil-soaked filter on top of that. I'm not worried about it. You should be safe if you intend to do.
