Amsoil about once a year or every 20,000 miles for the oil and every 6 months for the filter.

I also have Amsoil going in the trans and diff this next weekend.

Only difference is I have BTE Super Racing in my tranny.

Any performance/longevity reason you chose that over the Amsoil?

None really...other than most hi-perf builders will tell you not to use synthetic. Syn does cause more slip, the extra heat it creates is negated by the syn fluid.

I am going to Amsoil soon. I will be going to the Supershift Racing fluid. A little on the expensive side and at the time my tranny was built I hadn't looked into much outside just the regular synthetic.

The BTE fluid is made for hi-po trannies and it was available from the same place I bought all of my tranny parts.

Mobil 1 full synthetic 5W/30W along with Mobil 1 filter part #M1-206.

Its that a bigger filter, I'm using a M1-110

It's a little longer, that's all. It holds a little more oil.

Thanks, always wanted a lil bigger filter....the 110 is so smalll. Going to used the bigger one next time...

ok another question.....is im going to do it myself, (oil change) how does the truck know the oil % life left, how does it reprogram..?

I think I remember how to do this.... I think you turn the key to the "on" position then "off". Push the gas pedal to the floor and release 3 times. Then turn the key to the "on" position again, and it should be reset. I think that's how you do it.. Can anyone confirm this? :dunno:
