2004Denali Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 If you disconnect the front you will burn up you transfercase Mark
T-Bag Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 You guys are lucky, my 06 2WD gets an average of 10.3 mpg. In L.A. you can't break 30 mph on the streets or 50 mph on the freeway the traffic is so bad...
rivierakid55 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 i have to say im shocked at some of the gas mileage numbers ive heard. i would figure the 2wd would get better than the awd but who knows. i get about 13.0 with a mix of mostly street highway miles. not very good but better than my last truck which got about 9 with 4.88 gears.
tonman316 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 13.4 in the city (delivering pizza lol ) and 20.9 on the highway. These trucks weren't designed to get good gas milage.
TheGunny Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 I due pretty well i avereage abotu 15-16 from a mix of freeway and streets, and if i keep it nice 65-70 on flat open freeway i keep it at about 21 mpg
Kim Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 I get 14 mpg all the time Used to get 13.7mpg before I added the volant
KJT13 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 i've had 8 cyl trucks for so long now that i hardly ever pay attention to gas mileage. on a normal week of driving to and from work, i hit the gas station once every 5 or 6 days. i'm completely stock under the hood for now and i'm averaging about 14-15 mpg combined. haven't compared highway to city.
elitesurfer50 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 2wd radix with 2.9 LT intake full exhaust and tune and i get 14 highway doing 85mph not in cruise control
T-Bag Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 After this post I tried figuring it out, I drive 4 miles per day to and from work, so 20 miles a week, I decided to go fill it up after driving those 20 miles and it took 4.1 gallons of gas, crazy huh? That's what about 5 mpg if I'm not mistaken
