04silveradoclone07ss Posted November 24, 2006 Report Share Posted November 24, 2006 yes i finally did it. just got done. took about 20 min to do. didnt get the replacment panel without the hole but i made a filler peice out of plastic and apoxied it in. looks factory. then i followed what another member said about grounding the antenna and just ran 16 ga. to ground it. defintly looks a million times better but i lost some reception on a station i listened to alot. but dont care that much because the ipod will take over. but i will try to post pics soon. kyle Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

KJT13 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Share Posted November 25, 2006 when you guys do the antenna delete, are you using the body as an antenna? i understand the eliminating of the antenna for athstetic reasons, but i would think that you lose reception. sure, if you use an ipod or xm i'm sure it doesn't matter, but i still get tired of my ipod and all 6000+ songs on it. i still need my sports radio fix.
