04silveradoclone07ss Posted December 10, 2006 Report Share Posted December 10, 2006 well i have heard alot about the awd ss having a growling noise from the front end. now i was wondering if the cadilac escalade has the same problem? my mom has a 05 caddy and i took it out today and i was hearing a noise from the front. it is a realtime awd(i think thats what its called) and just going stright with the windows open i heard a growling/squeaking weird sound coming our from like right under the drivers side? any ideas what it could be. i heard that the escalde and ss use the same engine and drivetrain so is there the same problem? it only has like 9500 on it. should the dealer be able to fix it??? or will she have to pay? I'm having the dealership take a look at the ss on Friday so hopefully I'll find out what's going on. Since my SS isn't a daily driver I was hoping I wouldn't have this problem.
