CoolBlueSS
what i dont understand is the credit thing...how many credits do you get with the HP PRO software. and how many credits does it take to tune ONE vehicle......?and also how much money does it cost to get more credit? I was checking out the site last night and found somewhere that it's like $49 per credit (there are discounts with the more you purchase). From what I can tell, most single vehicles will use 2 credits. So is that more or less a limit on how many tunes you can do?
foff667
So is that more or less a limit on how many tunes you can do? With your initial purchase you receive enough credits to tune up to 4 individually locked pcm's...the hardware itself holds the actual licenses though...enough for 420 or more pcm's depending on how you license them. CoolBlueSS
So, are the credits what allows you to use/ load tunes into the PCM? Just trying to get an idea of how this all works. Considering buying it.
rsharpe13
yeah you use a certain amount of credits per truck (not sure how many) but once your truck is "locked in" to those credits you don't need more credits for the same truck. You just need more for different vehicles
BLACK AND BLOWN
I bought hp tuners for my pops SSS and my 5.3 s-10. made the mistake of NOT getting pro. if you dont spend the 150 extra up front it will cost you 300 later. with pro you can data log with out having the lap top in the truck and can hook up to 5 addition 5 volt senders to it. such as a wideband and monitor it right through hptuners. that the next step for us, pro and a wideband.
