I started it yesterday, today I pressure cleaned it. I need to get the frame rail fixed right behind were the gearbox bolts on, the spot weld broke and and the rail has a stress crack in it. Its an 85 and has support braces from the frame to the k-member, they started those in 86 :banghead: Gonna fix that this week. The Spohn torque arm should be in the week from iwinengss :D

Now the dilima, it had a V6, now I now 400+hp at the wheels wil make scrap metal outta the rear end. I'm not sure wether to go with the GM 12 bolt setup or the Ford 9in, bolt will the bolt in setup.

Recomedations For Drag Racing Application

If your going with a manula(t-56, t-5etc...) Go with a 9 inch

If your going Auto, 12 bolt will hold ya fine

I have seen 6 speed fbodies f up the 12 bolt with good power.

The one factor to look @ is what your race weight will be.

If you just want it for street driving a 12 bolt would work in either case.

Did your car have ABS? If so 12 bolt is an easy way to retain it.
