gixxerrider
Well I was reading the GM High Tech mag. It has the L92 heads and L76 intake. It also has the new LS extreme block. I am looking for about 500 to 550 RWHP with out spray. The question is should I wait to build a motor or do the heads, Intake, Cam on the LQ9. What is the differance between the LQ( and the LS2 bottom end besides AL and Cast?

04CHASE
id do the heads and the lsx block, it shoudl be a nice block coming out in march but it is going to be cast. the ls2 blcok is almost the same but has different cam gears , different knock sensor locations and a few tiny things. imo if you plan to spray it or put some high cylinder pressures its not worth dropping the 80 lbs vs a iron block. with the lsx block youll be able to go big though , you can do like 4.250 bore by a 4.5 stroke. so that has alot of possibilties to get some major cubes. imagine that with l9's and a big blower. 04CHASE
As long as I can be going 30MPH and lite the tires when some little import cuts me off <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that could be done with a 408 easily.
