Thamobster1578 Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 hey im eagerly looking to pick up an ss after loooking for a while.i currently have a navigator which gets 12 mpg city and only 12.5 highway for some reason.i know the ss's have a tendancy to eat gas too but i was what everyone was averaging based on daily driving/beating on it and also mpg ratings with mods.ie supercharger/turbo. any info with what u have done and what kind of mpg ur getting would be great.im sure it isnt much better than my navigator but i like the ss's alot more and they actually move so i think il be able to deal.thanks
jaymoney Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 I get about 13 city and 18 to 19 on the highway. Got 13 pulling a trailer at 75 to 80 mph. Got a cai, headers,magnaflow,160t stat, and hypertec programmer.
gixxerrider Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 I get $50 a week for gas. MPG whats that. How many people worry about MPG if they have a SS.
svt2224 Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 My '06 2wd gets 15-16 mpg city/highway.
kaotik1 Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 MPG whats that. How many people worry about MPG if they have a SS. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats why I have a beater. 25mpg.

03CHEV SS Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 I get 14.5 mpg with my truck. That was the first tank I check since I got the truck. Thats driving which is 15 miles at no more that 50 mph. I was happy.

03CHEV SS Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 Actually my family and I just moved out to Cannon City Co. in June of this year. I run historical plates on the car and haven't changed them. We lived in Vandalia MO its about 100 miles N.W of St. Louis.
06redSSrwd Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 16 average, 14-15 city, 20-21 highway ES
CoolBlueSS Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 16 average, 14-15 city, 20-21 highwayES <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's about what I get. It's stock except for a drop in K&N. It's really not that bad for what it is. Ford trucks for some reason are less fuel efficient than Chevy. Dodge is the worst.
NashSS Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 obviously im doing something wrong because im only getting about 12 with a mixture of city and highway and i have a brutre force intake with a flowmaster system.
rivierakid55 Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 i get about 13.5 mix of city/highway but mostly city driving.
