gunslinger2803 Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 i had my remote start installed about a month ago and have noticed that sometimes when i use the it to start my truck the heated seats are on when i get in the truck. it doesnt really bother me b/c its nice to have them warmed up when i get in cuz the winters are f-ing cold here in kansas. just wondering if anyone else has ran into this

I have noticed they dont turn on all the time though.

Holty Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 mine also do this when using the remote start. it has something to do with the ambient temp because it only happens if the temp is below i think 32degrees F. personally,i love this feature.

tonyrome Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 mine does it too freaked me out the first time i have an compustar model
TexaSS Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 hmmm.....this is something I wish mine did? anyway to turn the feature on?
edessa Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 I do not have the auto temp control and it does not happen to me. Maybe it's an auto temp issue.
fast4popper Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 depending on which interface module that was used in your truck, when the ambient temp in the truck hits 32 degrees they will turn on the low setting. no need to worry bout it in the summer.
gunslinger2803 Posted December 27, 2006 Author Report Posted December 27, 2006 thats crazy, i cant believe that it's so common. i figured i'd be the only one and that my remote start was wired wrong or something. thanks for the feedback everyone!
loanrangerss Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 shit i wish mine would, but i want the opp you know?
wody Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 the magic number is 40 degrees F. i got in my truck lastnight after work and it was 40 and my seat was on the lowest setting. Alan

gunslinger2803 Posted January 12, 2007 Author Report Posted January 12, 2007 the magic number is 40 degrees F. i got in my truck lastnight after work and it was 40 and my seat was on the lowest setting. Alan <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well the magic number isnt 40 F for my truck. the last couple of mornings that i've used the remote start the temp gauge on the mirror read "46" and "45," and my heated seats were on at the highest setting.
