04SSAWD Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 I have a flowmaster cat back with the dual rear exit. I am thinking about putting it out the side in front of the rear passenger tire. Just looking for suggestions..
04CHASE Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 cut it , weld it its pretty easy , if you plan to do it, just give your self enough room to route the pipes out the side, search my topics for "exhaust is in" and that should help you out.

Just looking for suggestions.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> did you buy a whole cat back system? if so you wasted your money if you just want to modify it. you could have just bought a muffler and fabbed it up. air force vm Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 I like the dumps. It gives you a clean look and something different. I had dumps on my old Z71 and loved the sound it gave. Thats my 2cents worth.

AUTOGUY Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 auto guy how many differnt exhaust setups have you had i remember back when i first joined you were talking about how you x piped it after you already had magnaflows on there <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I had the stock one, then I had the stock pipes with a Magnaflow Dual in Single out Muffler, then I went to the one you see in these pictures. I added the X-pipe after these were taken. The only other thing I did was change the tips.
04SSAWD Posted December 30, 2006 Author Report Posted December 30, 2006 I bought the truck with the cat back on the truck. I just don't like the rear exit. I like AUTOGUY's set up
DeeHutch Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 I"m thinking about doing two Flowmaster Super 40's, with both coming out on the passenger side in front of the rear wheel. I'm gonna change it up a bit and not use any tips. I"m just going to have alumined pipe ran out the side with angle cuts pointing outwards (like a Nascar), then i'm going to paint them flat black for an old school look. Hopefully i'll be having it done next Saturday. BTW, does anyone on here know what the Flowmaster Super 40's sound like on our trucks or in general?
