Or just get STS to whip a twin turbo custom kit for it, if you are going that far, you might as well spend the littel extra coin and have no questions about power, plus the turbo would help on take off in such a light car vs instant torque from a blower. Now that I look online more closely, I'm not sure if a blower snout would fit because of the accesory drives being on the fron of the engine, but the intake tract on the back over the transaxle. If we sell the Cobra for what we want, thats what the next project will be. Probly wont be an LS7 but a modded LS6 definitely...wanna talk about bang for the buck...if you pay attention and know what yer doin...major power to weight ratio...our Cobra..mind you topless, is 2000lbs with a driver and 600 crank hp. easy math there....those guys use top notch name brand components and stand by everything they do. Like, would they weld on the motor mounts to the chassis, or would you have to do this? I realize it will be a little more than just bolt things together. Would the suspension mounting points be welded on already? Sounds like they have all of the drivetrain components ready for a bolt together install with adapter plates etc. What about turn signals/lights? From the donor car? I also wouldnt even want to tackle the body because I have never even worked with body. I can rebuild an engine and install a trans, buts that about it. No fabrication unless you see things you wanna customize...lights....latches...things of that nature come with the kit...the body comes green...as in fresh out of a mold...fairly rough...if yer not a body man youll need a body shop for that...best way to describe a Factory Five kit car is a real life working model car...open the instructions and dig in.....of course with anything of this nature there will be times where things dont fit perfect and whatnot...jus takes a little "engineering"....little time and paying attention.....they are designed for you to find a donor car....for the Cobra like ours..it was a 87-93 Mustang....youd use the motor...trans...and misc parts like fuel tank...some suspension peices...etc.....thats the way to do it and save some money....you can have 1 ordered and built for around 20K....we didnt go that route...ours was a little more........here ya go.....Factory Five Racing theres kits...options...prices..etc.. ChevyMan23 Posted December 29, 2006 Report Share Posted December 29, 2006 (edited) Iv posted these before...but since theres some interest.....i took these while we were pulling the motor for a head swap.... 1 of the motor jus for the hell of it..before the Brodix heads.small block 427..(351W bored and stroked) The 10 inch drive shaft... The Lincoln MarkVIII rearend looking towards the front Right rear Front right coilover by QA1..came with the kit Engine bay..those aluminum peices come pre-cut...you jus drill and rivet Front driver side.. Engine bay again with the bellhousing still there...recognize the small red box on the firewall?....thanks GM When we ordered the kit, we ordered extras like dual chrome roll bars...ceramic coated headers and side exhaust....ordered the chassis setup for independent rear instead of solid...Autometer guages...tan leather...the seats come covered...carpet comes with it......its jus alot of damn fun....lol Edited December 29, 2006 by ChevyMan23 (see edit history) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Oh and I'm going to lock myself in the new pole barn for 6 onths, you won't see me for awhile ok?" Seriously, If I had the time and place to build this, I would be all over it. Too bad there isnt a place that would build these turnkey for a little premium.
