wody Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Share Posted January 10, 2007 same ol story. they said the oil was from left over from assembly. i told them to clean it up and if i get back from my 600 mile round trip with oil down the back of my oil pan, ill bring it back. If there's oil sitting right inside the lip, it's the rear main seal. If it's not, then follow the oil tracks up the back of the block and find out where it's coming from yourself. I've actually had to go back into the shop and show the tech where things were leaking before. Trained, tested, and top of the line... doesn't mean anything to a tired half blind parts changer who's trying just hard enough to not get fired while working at a second rate dealer. Seems like I always get "that guy" too and have to set him straight. There are good ones out there, they just don't make up for the bad ones.
