Kyle's03SilveradoSS
Well, on Friday-Sunday here in Iowa we got a bit of snow (I don't park in a garage). Probably 3-5 inches. The last time I had drove my truck was Thursday and all my gauges were working perfectly fine. Then the snow hit. On Saturday, I had to go out for my friends birthday and none of my gauges worked. The lights come on for the brights, seatbelt, etc etc but all of the gauges read zero. It was like that when I went home on Sunday too. Today, I headed in to work and partway there I realized all my gauges are working again. (We didn't really get much snow Sunday) And now I'm like I figured something shorted out and it would have to be replaced but now they work just fine. I was hoping someone might know what the problem is and if there is anything I can do to prevent this from happening in the future. I'm completely lost and I'm not very technically inclined. shakesvho
all of the gauges read zero. It was like that when I went home on Sunday too. I changed mine out, I gave my OEM to a friend he was telling me a few days ago it was going dead on him, and the next time he gets in its ok the one in my truck is fine. fast4popper
Mine went out at 40K, then I JUST replaced that one last thursday. cost me 225 thru the dealership w/exchange. kinda sucked bout the xchange cause I wanted an Escalade cluster but they needed the same one to send back. look thru ebay, and what not. not bad deals on there. perk03z06
I had to have mine done when my truck was in for the front diff. The battery died, and when they jumped it, the gauge cluster died. Gotta love the extended warranty ...

MP5GUY
Mine did the same thing. It will most likely get worse and worse and your speedo and or tach will show way off (Mine said 80 at 20) and then nothing. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Maybe it won't happen P.S. how many of SSS in the Des Moines area?

aaronjv
I live in Ames, Iowa. I just got my gauge cluster replaced today at Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny under extended warranty. Speedo became erratic went it started getting extra cold out. Would say I was going 60-100 mph while truck was in park. Was a pain but it's fixed. Maybe it won't happen P.S. how many of SSS in the Des Moines area? In the Des Moines area, there's actually quite a few. I'm not sure how many are on this site though. If I had to guess how many I've seen I'd say... 6-8. fast4popper and ss_bnoon_ss are both from the dsm area.
