misterp
So I was reading about James Brown and how nobody has any idea yet where he should be buried and that got me to thinking about the topic. Also, my first wife passed away a few years ago and was buried against her wishes in the family cemetery alongside the grandfather who sexually molested her as a child (she told me and her kids several times that she wanted her ashes spread over Lake Tahoe). So I'm curious how important this topic really is... Mr. P.
rivierakid55
interesting topic. i would like when the time comes to have my ashes spread out in the pacific ocean as my grandfather's was and my fathers will be when that day comes. AJSmyth
My Vote: Leave it for the family to decide, that way they want to visit me they can chose to have me buried, if they don't wanna visit me, burn me and flush me down the toilet for all I care. KJT13
i'm a traditionalist so buried i guess, but i really haven't given a whole lot of thought. i do think though that it was wrong of your first wife's family to go against her wishes. allballz57
I think if my wife and I grow old together I would like to be buried alongside her but if I were to die in an untimely fashion and she had enough time to have a new life with someone else I would rather be cremated. misterp
...i do think though that it was wrong of your first wife's family to go against her wishes. ...Yeah it was a bad deal, her brother always was a selfish prick. She and I had been split for about 9 years by that point so I didn't really have any leverage in the matter. Talk about kharma, he suffered a very miserable death at the hands of HIV... CoolBlueSS
My wife wants to be cremated. I haven't decided yet. I guess it really doesn't matter at that point, because it will just be a body at that point as I'll be somewhere else.
SoCalSS
Havent decided as of yet. My grandfather was cremated and my father wants to go the same way. I guess Id probably want to be cremated because in 2 to 3 generation after I die, my burial site would probably be forgotten.

SSAlaska
I want to make my mark on the planet, and leave the largest environmental foot print possible so bury me. In all seriousness though, I have lost a few close friends. Going to a grave helps give me closure.
BOB47
Interesting timing. Mr. P you trying to tell me something? Considering I had a heart attack saturday morning, this subject crossed my mind recently. I say bury me or throw me out with the trash. Just don"t burn me.
