perk03z06
Just noticed that one of the backlights on my 6-disc head burnt out ... in the upper right corner ... Can I remove the faceplate to fix this, or does the whole head need replacing?

JSal69
I havent tried the radio. but I do know that my rear defrost and my A/C back lighting button are out so I tried fixing it. I just broke the damn bulbs trying to get them out. I dont even know where I would get new bulbs to put in the holes..... any one? For the ones that you broke, you can try ordering them from your GM dealer. For the ones on the radio you can take your radio to any GM/Delphi authorized repair shop. They will fix it for you. You can ask your dealer parts manager who he deals with. They use them all the time for repairs & replacements of radios, speedo's, etc... I live in the NYC area and the place all the dealers use in the Tri-State area is MODEL ELECTRONICS. They used to be in the Westchester County NY area, but I believe they are in New Jersey now. When they were in NY I took my new speedo there to have them set the mileage to match my old speedo.
