Black2003SS
"It cost $35 - $25 to look the code up in the database..." WOW!!! ChevelleBoy that sounds a little weird to me. All the dealership does is go online and go to a GM website, plug in your vin# and it gives them a key code. Its a stealership...ever heard of labor? Some have minimum labor charges for lifting a finger to help someone out. Looks like they charged him at least 1/4 or possibly 1/2 hour labor for looking it up in the system. At least he got into his truck and got a key to keep in the house as a spare. If he had called a lock smith to come out and "break in", it would have been $60-120 depending on who came. Damn, the ones around here are only $20-$25. I had to do it once and didn't have any problems.
