SS710
I have a 04 SS, I am having LS6 heads ported at TEA, they should flow like a stage 2.5 or 3 because of the 4.00'' bore. The compression should be around 10.8:1. I am looking at getting a 3600 stall from yank, the truck will have long tubes on it, with probably the stock truck manifold. I am not sure what cam to put in there so any input would be great, thanks
RevolutionRaceWorks
First off.. heads are a good swap. I just did a set for shadowsniper last week the TEA stage 2.5's with a custom grind cam from me. The truck makes pretty good power he does need a looser converter right now hes stalling around 2300. But I think going over 3000 is way too much stall for your truck unless your only intent is to take it to the track. 3600 will feel extremly slushy on the street and you will see high tranny temps without doing some other upgrades to the trans. If you get me flow numbers on the heads and your ultimate goal with the truck I can make a cam recomendation. My custom grinds run about 450 to your door.
