dounome
I have a set of 22x10 Palisade that have seen better days. They have been out in the weather of the east coast for a year now and they need work. I have used that mothers ball and it does ok, but they need more. The inside of the wheel hoop needs it the most, lots of pitting. Any sugestions out there? I was thinking about ordering one of those wheel buffing kits from eastwood and use a drill I guess. Would a paint polisher work also?

Would a paint polisher work also? they make polishing wheels for die grinders that i use with rouge to polish my 18's . best thing to do is have them professinally buffed and then clear coated.(alex r8rs4lfe has his intros done)
r8rs4lf
Ya man, get those things profesionally polished and then ceramic clear coated. You'll never have to worry about that happening again.
dounome
Yeah I did look into that but they want $1k to do it. I was hoping I could get them looking good again then take them to get coated. I wonder if I can use my Dewalt DW849 to work on the inside portion of the hoop? r8rs4lf
$1K to polish them? Where the hell did you take them for that price? I had mine done before for somewhere around $200.00-$300.00 and that was with the tire being removed, installed and mounted and balanced. Unless they are really, really bad, I can't see anyone charging you that much. Shit, for that price, you'd be better off shipping them to Brian @ Intro and let them have at it. Even then, I'm sure it wouldn't cost that much, not even close. He could even clear coat them and then you would have no worries.

dounome
Mother's Powerball and Powerpolish. Brother the day you can get that powerball thing to work on my wheels and make them look GOOD is the day I will kiss your ass! That powerball thing may work well for some wheels but these big billet hogs laugh at that thing. Thanks anyway.
