r8rs4lf
Since my wheels are for sale now, I might be stepping up to 24's or maybe a 22"/24" combo, I really don't know at this point. I'm gathering information to make my decision. So does anyone here have the McGaughy's deluxe 2/4 drop with 24's? Do you have any rubbing issues? What size tire did you go with? Got a picture? I think I may be able to swing it since these wheels are made to order anyway you want. They can do custom backspacing, offset, etc. I might get a 24" X 8.5" in front and a 24" X 10" in the rear. I needs some answers first.

misterp
My truck is a McGaughy's 2/3.5 drop with additional 1" lowering keys, total drop is 3/3.75" and my tires are 30" overall diameter (20" rims, 5" sidewalls) and fit *perfect* there is 3/8" clearance between the tread and the plastic inner fenders, no rubbing. If you want the same using 24" rims then your tire sidewalls cannot be taller than 3.5-4", so maybe something is available in a 30-series??? If you happen to know up-front the largest tire diameter that works on 22" rims without rubbing I can do the math and tell you what size tires should work with 24" rims. Latest pic: Mr. P. 04CHASE
well you could so the 22/24 thing but tire size will be crucial in keeping almost identical overall diameter. it may look a bit out of place. the best tire combo for a 22/24 would be a 285/45/22 and a 295/35/24(nitto 420) giving you exactly 32.09 on both tires so it could work.but the tire sizes are going to look kind of goofy with the 22 inch tire beign so much bigger. imo the 2 inches between rims is to much of a difference. i think a 23/24 combo would look better and that could work with some toyos, (285/35/R23 and a 295/30R24 ) but if your going to go with a 23 up front tires are the same price from 23 to 24 so my as well go 24's . i think a staggered 24 would look sweet. i just love staggered wheels. so what wheels are you going with alex? That sounds like ALOT of drama! I had a brain fart talking about a 22/24 combo because I forgot about the AWD. Still going with Intros, but the Pentias. I always liked these rims! Here are a few examples.......... 24" Pentias My favorite pic!
